Ticket scans are designed to connect a courier customer with the underlying official ticket purchased on their behalf. They are useful evidence, but they are not always the instrument used to claim a major prize.

What a scan helps show

A scan can show the numbers, draw and ticket details associated with an order before the draw.

What about the original ticket?

Official lottery rules can require the original ticket for a large-prize claim. A courier’s storage and handover process is therefore important.

Facsimiles

Some courier terms allow a graphic representation rather than a literal scan in limited circumstances. Read the operator’s documentation so you know what form of proof to expect.
